Kingdom care food pantry

Our food care pantry workers are volunteers. Our day of operation is Tuesday 2pm—5pm. We minister to different cultures, and ethnic groups. All are welcome. The criteria to become a recipient are: you must on your initial visit bring identification for yourself as well as any members in your house-hold. We then will generate a pantry I.D for the client, with their day to receive food. We have a system if you last name starts from A—M your days are every 1st & 3rd Tuesday, N—Z every 2nd & 4th Tuesday. However, if there is a 5th Tuesday for any given month the pantry is closed. This gives the staff a day off; also the clients will not feel that one group is favored over the other. We are currently serving 3-4 hundred individuals per week, and the numbers are still escalating monthly. We enjoy serving Gods people. It’s a rewarding ministry.

Vision:
We envision the population becoming more self-sufficient and ultimately capable of meeting the nutritional needs for themselves and their family members, and not to depend on the diverse provisions in New York City.

Mission Statement:
We provide a food pantry where the underprivileged will be able to come and receive food.
We solicit several vendors in New York City/State to contribute/donate a variety of nutritional foods.
We distribute food to the community to meet the dietary needs of the population.
We inform the public concerning various services that are available to them, such as food stamps, and free medical coverage etc
